In the left corner of the recliner, we have Abigail weighing in at 14 pounds! In the right corner, we have Pinkie, who is light as feather!! Yes people, our AbiLou is 14 pounds and we are loving it!! She is a very healthy and happy baby! We have found that she has VUR, which is reflux of the kidneys. With prayer and medication, hopefully she will grow out of it. She is smiling and cooing so much now. It is the sweetest sound I have ever heard. Her hair is finally growing in a little, but she still looks like an old man from the back! She is sleeping in her bouncy set as I'm typing this post. She has a death grip on her rattle and looks so peacful and sweet. These days are passing quickly and I am trying to capture every minute of it!

There is something to be said about being a Daddy's Girl!!
I am the perfect example of a Daddy's Girl! Now my own little girl has become one too! It doesn't get old watching Abby Lou and her Daddy together. Each night, the two of them sit together and watch TV or chat, he sometimes feeds her, and most of the time he rocks her to sleep. I love it and thank God each night that Staten is the father of my child.
Just an update: Abby Lou is growing each day! Mostly in length. She is standing really well with help balancing. I sometimes think she is going to walk before she crawls! Thanks to Aunt Wendy, we have an activity center to sit her in to play and she really enjoys it! She is cooing and trying to mock our facial expressions. She is now sleeping in her crib, in her room and majority of the time sleeping through the night. Her wake time is somewhere between 4:30-6:30am. More to come!!
The day Abigail was born, she was screaming as they put her on the scales. Staten walked over to her and called her name and she immediately stopped crying and turned her head directly toward him and their connection was made. I know the love of a father and the comfort of being rocked and hugged by strong arms and I am so thankful our child has that too! She has two fathers that love her unconditionally: Staten and our heavenly father, God.
